I traveled two consecutive weekends to attend an extraordinary, life-changing Reiki experience. I have been in practice for over 15 years as a certified Reiki practitioner in a Western lineage, and itching to seek out the original Japanese lineage for the past few years. Dr. Danilychev appeared on my Google search, and I travelled to see her! I've never had a Reiki session by Dr. Danilychev, but I can speak to her expertise and demeanor as she relates to Reiki training. Her authenticity, professionalism and experience in Jikiden Reiki is simply wonderful and beautiful.

Dr. Danilychev provided a highly informative workshop for Shoden and Okuden training. She demonstrated a lot of patience answering the multitude of questions I had throughout the workshop, careful to delineate the differences between my old lineage and Jikiden Reiki. This was important for me to understand so I didn't mix the two lineages and so I could appreciate the differences. Dr. Danilychev is very down to earth, never condescending or judgmental yet also very honest about expressing her opinions about certain topics we discuss. Dr. Danilychev has a unique take on Reiki being not only a Reiki shihan, but also a medical doctor - a perfect blend of intellect between the sciences and an energy healing art. Dr. Danilychev brings not only a sophistication to her training, but also exudes Reiki in her persona!

Coming from a Western lineage, it was beautiful to learn the original Japanese lineage. Jikiden Reiki certainly radiates with a different quality energy. I don't think one is better than the other, there is something worth appreciating in both lineages. The intricacies of traditional Japanese art, however, is seen in Jikiden Reiki, which has been lost in the Western lineages. I learned that the Japanese culture in general has been removed to some extent in the Western lineages and has evolved to something of its own. The Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai (institute) in Japan has vetted its knowledge by going to the source and confirming its information, so you know this is the original lineage closest to Mikao Usui sensei. The spiritual component of Jikiden Reiki is not consistently passed on in the Western lineages, and this matters so much to Reiki practitioners whether they know it or not. Pursuing Jikiden Reiki training has been not only eye-opening for its style and techniques, but also has contributed much to my appreciation and cultural sensitivity for Japanese culture. As a Reiki practitioner coming from a Western lineage, I strongly recommend learning Jikiden Reiki with Dr. Danilychev!

Dr. Danilychev is the best! She saved my life, in more ways than just one. She is probably the most genuine, pure-hearted and most loving person I've ever met in my life (without exaggerating). The reason why I wanted to learn Reiki and pursue it further was because of her. I believe it makes a great deal of sense learning Reiki from such a compassionate person.

Dr. Danilychev had taught me so much about Jikiden Reiki and does an EXTREMELY good job at teaching the foundation and lineage of Reiki based on Mikao Usui (the original founder of Reiki). She eventually asked if I wanted to become a Reiki practitioner, and I flew to Japan to become certified as a Shihan-Kaku! (Assistant level Reiki teacher)

To me, Dr. Danilychev is more than just a teacher, but also a great friend as well. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Reiki, or even if you need a good friend in your life thank you for everything Dr. Danilychev!
