I have been going here for 6 years. And my experience everytime is amazing! Yes prices are high, but isn’t that everywhere? I love that I can make an appointment the same day and get treated very well! Anna does an excellent job on my nails every single time. Always asking how my day is, how school is going or how my family is.
This environment is super friendly! Sometimes when they make an accident they accommodate with a free design, etc with a smile! I never feel guilty for saying something I don’t like. But 99% I don’t, they always do it right.

This place is definitely great. I would 100% recommend!

*mind you I got these nails done 2 weeks ago*

To allow a paying customer to walk out of your salon with this type of work is embarrassing. Anna rushed through my fill. I was the last person to walk into the salon, but I was the first one to walk out. My nails looked worse after my fill (which she convinced me I needed or they would look bad. I only wanted a reshape and color change initially) then before I walked in. She rushed so much that if affected the quality. Will never return, lesson learned.

I went to get shellac done on Saturday , and she gave me the perfect colour I wanted, but it started coming off on the second day. I feel so disappointed—I spent $25, and it didn’t even last.

This is a long comment but I waited to write this because I am absolutely done with this nail salon and all others. The prices are so incredibly high and for such trash nails. It’s more affordable to do your own nails and avoid these places all together. Tired of the high prices, terrible services and expectations to tip on such a terrible nail job.

Issues I had with this place.

1. The price they charge to get a set of nails done with a basic colour is outrageous. I’m embarrassed that I kept getting them done here. Almost 60-70 each time for a set Plus tip! I have no idea if this is a normal price honestly. My nails were always acrylic and 1 solid colour. .

2.The staff. The women who work here are nice enough, only if you don’t say anything about how terrible of a job they did on your nails..They constantly made me feel like I was asking too much when I asked them to clean up spots on my nails that had hardened glue or nail polish. Why am I paying $60, $70+ for nails that are terrible? Plus tip! And why do I have to point out your mistakes? Can’t you see them? It’s funny because they are all SUPER nice and accommodating to the ⚪️ customers, laughing and joking with them. But every time I came in they refused to make conversation or show me the same welcoming feeling.

3. Unprofessional Nail techniques and manners.
They also are very unprofessional with the way they do nails because several times the nail particles are flying all over my face and clothes and these ladies don’t say anything or apologize for getting nail particles flying right into my face.
Or they’re scraping my old nails off and it’s so painful, getting nails taken off should not be painful!

4. Getting offended when I call out their mistakes and kindly ask them to fix it.

Whenever I came in they would get this look on their face because they knew I would call them out if I didn’t like how they looked. You’re providing a service and I’m paying for that service , so why are you offended that I’m telling you to make adjustments so I can be happy with the final product I have to live with for weeks! Also, customers aren’t a stupid, we KNOW when you are talking 💩 about us even if it’s in another language. It’s super rude.

5. Price changes
I also noticed they started telling me that the nails were done by time, so if the time took longer the price went up. Huh? I thought the price was associated with the amount of jewels or types of designs? They took longer on my nails cause I called out their mistakes and it took time for them to fix it. I often felt they rushed my nails too, like I’m here for a relaxing experience not to be rushed.

Final Thoughts
I gave this nail salon many chances and have gone here many times, I thought I genuinely was in the wrong for feeling horrible every time I left, with the product and their service, and getting anxiety for just asking them to fix my nails or add something. however I always tipped because it’s a custom. You’ll save so much money by doing your nails or self or better yet buying stick on nails from Walmart.

They don’t give wifi so if you’re thinking of getting work done during pedicure then this is not the place to be. Staff is not very friendly. Service was mediocre at best.

My visit to PN Pretty Nails in Taunton, Oshawa for a pedicure with my mom was incredibly disappointing. Throughout the session, Anna displayed a terrible attitude, neglecting to adjust the seat for my mom and continuously annoying her about leg placement. It felt like she treated us unfairly, especially when I observed them adjusting seats and providing patient service to other ladies.

Anna assumed my mom and I had no knowledge of pedicures. The rushed pedicure included a quick soak, careless scraping of dried skin, insufficient cuticle care, and neglecting to clean the scrub and apply any oil or cream. The skin wasn't even clean she simply applied nail polish, leaving my mom's leg even drier. Her legs were visibly not properly cleaned, with dead skin still apparent. This entire process lasted no more than 7-8 minutes.
When I questioned the rushed and incomplete service, Anna explained that the basic pedicure only offered this. The front desk lady added that even with one pedicure, dried skin wouldn't be properly removed. This contradicted our previous experiences, where my mom's skin remained consistently smooth after each pedicure, given her normal skin type.

This became my worst salon experience, marked by a lack of care, impatience, and what seemed like discriminatory treatment. I am now hesitant to return, as it was clear that Anna did not put in the effort to provide proper service.
